The seed for Sage & Basket was planted when my husband gifted me a floristry course at Matthew Landers Academy on the day of our wedding. It was a deeply thoughtful gesture, and one that changed the trajectory of my life.
I’d always enjoyed creating floral arrangements as a hobby, but the course introduced me to the technical side of floristry. I began to understand structure, balance, seasonality, and how thoughtful design can completely transform a space. What started as curiosity quickly became something more intentional than I had ever imagined.
As I continued training and gaining hands-on experience, I realised I wanted to build something of my own. Sage & Basket was established from that foundation, not simply from a love of flowers, but from a desire to create meaningful moments for couples.
I’ve always believed florals should do more than decorate a room. They should contribute to the atmosphere of the day.
